TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
Please note the following important Terms and Conditions upon booking with Lou Makeup Artistry. Please read carefully as they are a legal document and upon booking you agree to be bound by these user terms. It is the responsibility of the client who books to understand, agree and be responsible for all booking conditions and payments listed below.
Special Occasion/Event Makeup: A non-refundable deposit booking fee of $50 of the total fee is required to be paid to secure the appointment. This can be paid online through the booking system. The booking is not secure until the deposit has been paid.
1:1 Makeup Lessons: A non-refundable deposit booking fee of $50 of the total fee is required to be paid to secure the appointment. This can be paid online through the booking system. The booking is not secure until the deposit has been paid.
Weddings: A 25% non refundable deposit is to be paid within 24hrs of initial quote to secure the date and booking. Dates cannot be held without a deposit. You will be required to pay the deposit via bank transfer and proof of payment must be shown in order to secure.
Special Occasion/event makeup: Upon paying the non-refundable $50 deposit, the remaining $80 for the booking can be paid via Bank transfer, cash or Credit Card in the studio.
1:1 Personal Makeup Lessons: Upon paying the non-refundable $50 deposit, the remaining $150 for the lesson can be paid via bank transfer, Cash or Credit Card in the studio.
MUA 1:1 Lessons: Upon paying the non-refundable $50 deposit, the remaining $200 for the lesson can be paid via Cash or Credit Card in the studio.
Weddings: Upon paying the 25% non refundable deposit, the remaining monies will be required to be paid 1 week prior to the date. This is to be paid via bank transfer with receipt/proof of payment to be shown.
The client scheduling the booking will be held responsible for the total booking fee amount and no later than the day of application.
RIGHT TO REFUSE:
Lou Makeup Artistry reserves the right to refuse service to anyone demonstrating inappropriate behaviour to any member of staff.
I kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours minimum notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your makeup and 1:1 makeup lesson appointment. All appointments booked with Lou Makeup Artistry will receive a confirmation email and reminder emails and texts leading up to the appointment. This gives you the option to reschedule or cancel your appointment within the cancellation period.
Makeup and 1:1 Lessons appointments that are cancelled without their minimum notice will be charged the full cost of the appointment.
No shows to appointments will also be charged the full cost of the booking. This applies to makeup and 1:1 lesson appointments.
Wedding Cancellations have their own separate conditions as per below:
Wedding Deposits are non-refundable.
Cancellation of any wedding booking must be given in writing via text message, email or post and will only be confirmed upon receipt of this. The following cancellation fees apply for bridal bookings:
Up to 3 months prior to the date – None
3 months – 2 weeks prior to the date – 50% of the booked amount quoted and confirmed.
2 weeks prior to the day and under – 100% of the booking amount quoted and confirmed.
If Lou Makeup Artistry falls ill or unable to attend your booking for unforeseen reasons, all attempts will be made to send a reputable and qualified Makeup Artist to you who will be fully briefed.
If Lou Makeup Artistry may need to cancel your booking for unforeseen circumstances and not able to find you a suitable replacement makeup artist, all money paid for the wedding booking will be refunded.
Taking note and adhering to the appointment times is critical. Please, when booking your appointment online, take note of the times and ensure that you allocate enough time for travel to and from your appointment. Lou Makeup Artistry will not accept late appointments and if a client is any later than 10 minutes to their appointment, the booking will be automatically be cancelled and the full cost will be charged to the client. Lou Makeup Artistry runs on a strict back to back booking system and adhering to the booking times is critical.
MISCELLANEOUS (Parking fees/Travel/Tolls:
A travel fee of $1 per km one way only will be incurred when required to travel less than 200km. If the travel is over 200km one way, a return trip will be charged at $1 per km.
*Please note that travel is only available for Bridal Parties and group bookings of 3 +
In the event that any hotels/apartments/motels and parking fees are incurred as a result of the location of the appointment, the fees will be passed onto the client to pay. Required parking is to be at the hotel/accommodation the client is staying at, we do request that you organise this with hotel in advance to either have the charges applied to your room tab or included in your quote.
For all travel bookings, Lou Makeup Artistry will request the address of where the booking will take place, and therefore if any Tolls are required the cost will be included in the quote.
HYGIENE & OTHER GENERAL DISCLOSURES:
In accepting these terms and conditions, you agree and understand that these services involve me applying skin products directly to the relevant parts of your body and therefore understand that it is the clients responsibility to advise of any medical conditions known to you.
Lou Makeup Artistry refuses to service any clients who have active herpes (cold sores) and/are contagiously ill (e.g. with the flu or other virus). Service will be refused at the Makeup Artist Discretion.
Lou Makeup Artistry is not, under any circumstances, responsible for any allergic reactions to products used. It is the client’s responsibility to notify Lou Makeup Artistry if you have any hypersensitivity/contraindications that you are aware of.
For Hygiene reasons, Lou Makeup Artistry cannot use the clients own personal makeup products.
